Squat as a cultural center Do It Yourself. Example of the Centrum Reanimacji Kultury in Wroclaw

This thesis explores squatting in a historical, sociological and cultural context. The issue includes counterculture background. Development focuses on the cultural role of the squat as a place where the project is implemented in the field of artistic activity, workshop and social. The analysis involves comparing the blueprint of traditional cultural institutions with the methods used in the independent cultural centers. The issue is examinated by the example of the Centrum Reanimacji Kultury in Wroclaw , where all projects are carried out in accordance with the principle of Do It Yourself.

Praca bada zagadnienie skłotingu w perspektywie historycznej, socjologicznej i kulturoznawczej. Problematyka pracy obejmuje kontrkulturowe konteksty zjawiska. Opracowanie dotyczy przede wszystkim kulturotwórczej roli skłotu jako miejsca, gdzie realizowane są przedsięwzięcia z zakresu działalności artystycznej, warsztatowej i społecznej. Przeprowadzona analiza obejmuje porównanie strategii prowadzenia tradycyjnej placówki kultury z metodami stosowanymi w niezależnych ośrodkach kultury. Podejmowana problematyka rozstrzygana jest na przykładzie wrocławskiego Centrum Reanimacji Kultury, gdzie wszelkie działania realizowane są w myśl punkowej zasady Do It Yourself.
