Historical policy and cultural institutions. Case studies.

Celem pracy jest ukazanie relacji pomiędzy polityką historyczną a instytucjami kultury. Praca wyjaśnia w jaki sposób instytucje kultury (Dom Spotkań z Historią, Muzeum-Zamek w Łańcucie, Muzeum Historyczne Miasta Krakowa wraz z oddziałami Ulica Pomorska i Fabryka Schindlera) rozumieją termin polityka historyczna, jakie widzą w związku z istnieniem tego zjawiska szanse i zagrożenia. Ponadto praca wyjaśnia rolę instytucji kultury, głównie muzeów w służbie polityki historycznej. Praca wyjaśnia również czym w teorii jest polityka historyczna oraz ukazuje rozwój zjawiska od 1989 roku oraz najważniejsze wydarzenia na niego wpływające.

The main purpose of this Master thesis is to reveal the relations between historical policy and culture institutions. The treatise explains how culture institutions (History Meeting House, Castle-Museum in Łańcut, Historical Museum of Cracow with posts: Pomorska Street and Schindler’s Factory) understand the term: historical policy, what chances and threats they can see in connection with this term. What is more this Master thesis explains the role of culture institutions, mainly museums towards historical policy. The treatise threats of the overall theory of historical policy and shows the expand of this term since 1989 as well as the most important incidents which had an impact on it.
