Machiavelli jako prekursor realizmu politycznego.

This thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter the political realism has been described along with its contradiction - idealism. There is also a short description of a relation between morality and politics in the classical tradition. The second chapter draws a picture of the "realistic" beliefs of the author of The Prince and The Discourse. Finally. in chapter three I have listed - following Isaiah Berlin - the most important interpretional disputes which have grown over Machiavelli's work.

Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym z nich scharakteryzowane zostało pojęcie realizmu politycznego, wraz z jego przeciwieństwem, jakim jest idealizm. Krótko omówiłem także zagadnienie związku moralności z polityką w tradycji klasycznej. Rozdział drugi przedstawia „realistyczne” poglądy autora Księcia i Rozważań. Natomiast w rozdziale trzecim – za Isaiahem Berlinem – wymieniłem najważniejsze spory interpretacyjne narosłe wokół dorobku Machiavellego.
