Hungarian underground of the 80s as portrayed in films

Niniejsza praca omawia temat węgierskiego undergroundu lat osiemdziesiątych na podstawie filmów. Lata 80. XX wieku miały duży wpływ na zmiany w węgierskiej sztuce. Zarówno w dziedzinie kinematografii, jak i muzyki uwidoczniła się twórczość artystów undergroundu, tolerowanych przez rząd artystów, którzy szukali nowych inspiracji głównie poprzez sztukę eksperymentalną oraz film dokumentalny. W pracy skupiono się na analizie węgierskiego undergroundu ukazanego w obrazie filmowym. Omówiono również wpływ muzyki oraz głównych postaci undergroundu na ówczesny film. W pracy nawiązano do kultowych miejsc lat osiemdziesiątych na Węgrzech oraz poruszono tematykę osławionego studia Béla Balázs.

The subject of the following essay is Hungarian underground of the 80’s as portrayed in films. The 80’s had an interesting impact on the changes in Hungarian art. The work of underground artists, looking for new inspirations mainly through experimental art and documentaries, has become more vivid in the field of cinematography and music. This paper focuses on the analysis of the Hungarian underground as portrayed in films. It also discusses the influence of music and leading underground figures in film. The paper also referres to the iconic places of the eighties in Hungary and raises the topic of the famous Béla Balázs Studios.

Az alábbi dolgozat témája a 80-as évek magyar underground filmek alapján. A 80-as évek mélyen befolyásolták a változásokat a magyar művészetben. A hatalom által tűrt underground művészek tevékenysége szilárditott mind a filmben és a zenében. Az underground művészek új inspirációt keresték főleg a kísérleti művészetben és dokumentumfilmben. A dolgozat koncentrálja főleg a filmben ábrázolt magyar underground elemezésén. Továbbá tárgyalja a zene és az underground vezető személyiségek hatását az akkori filmre. A dolgozat hivatkozik a 80-as évek magyar kultusz helyekre és utalja a közismert Balázs Béla Studió témára.
