Polish children of Maharaja during the second world war.

The thesis presents the history of Polish childrendeported to the Soviet Union during World War II and howhave gone the way of the Soviet Union to India,among others under the care of Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijay Sinhji.This great man at the request of Polish government officials offered to help without hesitation and 1942,near to his residence in Balachladi created a housing estate for orphans.There and other camps survived in India about five thousand Polish orphans.

Praca przedstawia historię polskich dzieci zesłanych w głąb ZSRR podczas II Wojny Światowej i jaką drogę przebyły ze Związku Radzieckiego do Indii m.in. pod opieką maharadży Jam Saheba Digvijay Sinhji.Ten niezwykły człowiek ,na prośbę przedstawicieli władz Polski bez namysłu zaoferował pomoc i 1942 roku obok swojej rezydencji w Balachladi utworzył osiedle dla sierot.Tam jak i w innych obozach przetrwało w Indiach ok. 5 tyś polskich sierot.
