The types and scale of aggressive behaviour among secondary school students

W ostatnich latach niepokojącym zjawiskiem występującym wśród dzieci i młodzieży jest ekspansja agresji. Zjawisko agresji staje się poważnym problemem, gdyż występuje w różnym nasileniu prawie we wszystkich szkołach. Wzrasta liczba dzieci i młodzieży demonstrujących zachowania agresywne nacechowane coraz większą brutalnością i bezwzględnością.Celem przeprowadzonych badań było poznanie zjawiska agresji wśród uczniów szkół średnich. Moja praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym zostały zdefiniowane pojęcia związane z tematem pracy. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiłam część metodologiczną pracy. Rozdział trzeci zawiera analizę wyników badań własnych. Praca ukazuje jak bardzo rozpowszechnione jest zjawisko agresji w szkole oraz jakie rodzaje zachowań agresywnych możemy spotkać wśród uczniów szkół średnich. Określono również jakie jest zróżnicowanie tych rozmiarów i rodzajów ze względu na płeć osób badanych. Grupę badawczą stanowiło 146 uczniów. W badaniach wykorzystano Inwentarz Psychologiczny Syndromu Agresji Z. Gasia, Kwestionariusz Agresji Reaktywnej-Proaktywnej oraz autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że w grupie uczniów szkoły średniej zaznacza się przeciętny ogólny poziom agresji, płeć badanych znacząco różnicuje zachowania agresywne pod względem form i rodzajów natomiast mniej w kwestii ich nasilenia. Chłopcy częściej stosują agresję fizyczną natomiast dziewczęta werbalną. Poziom agresji chłopców jest nieistotnie statystycznie wyższy niż dziewcząt.

In the past few years a disturbing phenomenon of aggression has developed among children and teenagers. The situation is becoming a serious problem, as it occurs in most schools with different intensity. The number of children and teenagers demonstrating aggressive behaviour marked with more and more brutality and ruthlessness is constantly growing. The aim of the research was to recognise the phenomenon of aggression among secondary school students.The thesis consists of three chapters. The first one contains the definitions of notions connected with the subject of the thesis. The second chapter presents its the methodological part. The last chapter contains the analysis of my research.The thesis aims to show how widespread aggression is in schools and what types of aggressive behaviour can be encountered among secondary school students. It also describes how diversified are the types and scale according to the sex of the people examined. The research group included 146 people. There have been three documents used for the research: Inwentarz Psychologiczny Syndromu Agresji by Z. Gaś (The Psychological Inventory of Aggression Syndrome), Kwestionariusz Agresji Reaktywnej-Proaktywnej (The Questionnaire of Reactive-Proactive Aggression) and an original questionnaire form. The results show that within the group of secondary school students the general level of aggression is average. What’s more, the sex of the students significantly affects aggressive behaviour in the matter of forms and types and not in the matter of its intensity. Boys use physical violence, whereas girls tend to use verbal violence. The level of violence among boys is irrelevantly statistically higher than among girls.
