Literature as a factor stimulating the development and shaping reading interests children in early school age

SUMMARYThe subject of the author’s discussion was devoted to the literature as a factor stimulating the development of the child and shaping reading interests among children in early school age. The aim of the study was to find answers to the following questions:1.What factors influence the development and shaping the reading interests among children in early school age?2.What are the ways of developing and shaping reading interests among children in early school age?3.Which of the ways of developing and shaping reading interests are used by teachers working with children in early school age? The author conducted empirical studies among 60 parents, 60 teachers of initial education and 100 students in grades I - III. During the implementation of the empirical studies, the author used the questionnaire and interview techniques. The analysis of the subject’s literature and collected issues from the empirical research has enabled the author to formulate the following conclusions from the study:1.All tested parents read books to their children by choosing mostly the canon of children's literature. In order to develop and shape reading interests, they use a variety of ways to work with the text.2.During the lesson all tested teachers read a book related to the subject matter. They use a variety of methods and forms in the development and shaping the reading interests of their students. The most common actions taken in this regard are: reading aloud, work in teams, so. "An hour with a literature / beautiful reading", an exhibition of books, rebuses and literary competitions.3.The most common type of literature, elected by all the kids are: readings, fairy tales and poems, but also popular magazines and comics. Heroes, with which the most young readers identify themselves are these of fairy tales and comic books for children. The most popular fairy tale characters indicated by the children are: Winnie the Pooh, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Queen Lenka, Snow White, Franklin, Karolcia. In contrast, a comic book heroes are: Batman and Spider-Man.

STRESZCZENIEPrzedmiotem rozważań Autorki były zagadnienia dotyczące literatury, jako czynnika stymulującego rozwój dziecka oraz kształtującego zainteresowania czytelnicze dzieci w wieku wczesnoszkolnym. Celem badań było znalezienie odpowiedzi na postawione następujące pytania badawcze: 1. Jakie czynniki wpływają na rozwój oraz kształtowanie zainteresowań czytelniczych wśród dzieci w wieku wczesnoszkolnym? 2. Jakie istnieją sposoby rozwijania oraz kształtowania zainteresowań czytelniczych dzieci w wieku wczesnoszkolnym? 3. Które ze sposobów rozwijania i kształtowania zainteresowań czytelniczych, wykorzystywane są przez nauczycieli w pracy z dziećmi w wieku wczesnoszkolnym?Badania empiryczne Autorka przeprowadziła wśród 60 rodziców, 60 nauczycielek nauczania początkowego oraz 100 uczniów klas I – III. W trakcie ich realizacji posłużyła się techniką ankiety i wywiadu. Dokonana analiza literatury przedmiotu oraz zebranego w toku badań materiału empirycznego, pozwoliła Autorce na wysunięcie następujących wniosków z badań: 1. Wszyscy badani rodzice czytają książki swoim dzieciom, wybierając je najczęściej z kanonu literatury dziecięcej. W celu rozwijania oraz kształtowania zainteresowań czytelniczych, wykorzystują także różnorodne sposoby pracy z tekstem.2. Wszystkie badane nauczycielki czytają podczas lekcji książki, związane z tematem zajęć, wykorzystują różnorodne metody i formy w ramach rozwijania i kształtowania zainteresowań czytelniczych swoich uczniów. Najczęstsze działania, jakie podejmują w tym zakresie to: głośne czytanie, praca w zespołach, tzw. „godzina z literaturą/godzina pięknego czytania”, wystawy książkowe, rebusy oraz konkursy literackie.3.Najczęstszym typem literatury wybieranej przez wszystkie dzieci są: lektury, bajki oraz wiersze. Popularnością cieszą się także czasopisma i komiksy. Bohaterowie, z jakimi najczęściej utożsamiają się młodzi czytelnicy to bohaterowie bajek i komiksów dla dzieci. Najbardziej popularnymi bohaterami bajkowymi wskazywanymi przez dzieci są: Kubuś Puchatek, Czerwony Kapturek, Śpiąca Królewna, Królewna Lenka, Królewna Śnieżka, Franklin, Karolcia. Natomiast bohaterowie komiksów to : Batman i Spider Man.
