Inspiration and travesty. Miyuki Miyabes work in the context of the classic detective novel

Celem niniejszej pracy jest odnalezienie cech klasycznej powieści kryminalnej w twórczości Miyabe Miyuki i próba zdefiniowania, jak autorka odnosi się do tych cech. W pracy zaprezentowano krótką historię powieści detektywistycznej i jej główne cechy. Następnie przyrównano je z tymi, które występują w wybranych powieściach Miyabe. Na podstawie takiej analizy wskazano, które cechy pokrywają się z cechami tradycyjnej powieści detektywistycznej, a które i w jaki sposób pisarka zmodyfikowała.

The aim of this work s to find characteristics of the classic detective novel in the works of Miyabe Miyuki and attempt to define how the author refers to those characteristics. The paper presents a brief history of the detective story and its main characteristics which were later aligned with those that can be found in selected Miyabe's novels. On the basis of this analysis, it was stated which of the characteristics coincide with the characteristics of the traditional detective story, and which and in what way the writer modified.
