The linguistic characteristics of "tweets" on the example entries Leszek Miller and Janusz Palikot

Celem pracy jest analiza językowych cech wpisów na Twitterze na przykładzie profilów wybranych polityków – Leszka Millera i Janusza Palikota. Jednocześnie podjęta została próba zbadania zagadnienia mikrobloga jako nowej formy komunikowania politycznego w Polsce. Omawiając wybrany temat, warto było także zastanowić się nad tym, jak wielką rolę w procesie kształtowania wizerunku polityka odgrywa język oraz jakie zalety niesie ze sobą Internet w komunikacji politycznej.

The aim of the thesis is is to analyze the linguistic characteristics of tweets on the example of profiles of selected politicians - Leszek Miller and Janusz Palikot. At the same time an attempt was made to examine issues of micro-blogging as a new form of political communication in Poland. When discussing a chosen topic, it was worth a think about how great a role in shaping the image of the policy language plays and what advantages the Internet brings in political communication.
