Boats on the territory of modern Poland from the seventh to the twelfth century.

Praca opisuje wybrane łodzie na terenie współczesnej Polski. Miała na celu uporządkowanie informacji na temat wczesnośredniowiecznego szkutnictwa. Do podjęcia pracy skłonił mnie brak pełnych opracowań dla obszaru całej Polski obejmującego dłubanki jak i łodzie klepkowe. W pracy można odnaleźć opis poszczególnych typów łodzi i ich najbardziej charakterystyczne cechy. Prace oparłem na opisach i opracowaniach znalezisk oraz na źródłach historycznych i etnograficznych. Z opisów zachowanych zabytków jasno wynika, że najbardziej popularnym rodzajem łodzi były dłubanki. Łodzie klepkowe pojawiają się w Polsce pomiędzy VI a VIII wiekiem.

This study describes the selection of boats on the territory of modern Poland. The objective was to organize information on the early boatbuilding. Lack of complete studies for the area of the entire Poland covering the dugouts and plank boats encouraged me to start work. In this study, you can find a description of the various types of boats and their most characteristic features. I based my work on the descriptions and studies finds a boat and on the historical and ethnographic sources. From descriptions of preserved monuments, it is clear that the most popular type of boat was dugout. Plank boats appear in Poland between VI and VIII centuries.
