Wiedza pielęgniarek pracujących w oddziale chirurgii i intensywnej terapii na temat aseptyki i antyseptyki

Introduction: Asepsis and antisepsis are terms that are integrally connected with the work of nurse. It is essential to know and respect these terms because, out of all medical personnel, it is the nurse who has easily the biggest contact with the patient. If the rules are not respected the nurse is in the most danger to be infected. Aim: The assessment of the nurses’ knowledge in the area of adherence to asepsis an antisepsis rules in the Surgery and Intensive Care Unit. Material and Methods: The research has been carried over 100 nurses working in the Surgery and Intensive care Unit in the University Children’s Hospital in Cracow. The research has been carried by diagnostic survey with fact finder.Results: In the carried research the results indicate that the degree of knowledge concerned with asepsis and antisepsis is diversified and insufficient, that is why the actual state of being require further continual education. What is more, insufficient adherence to the asepsis and antisepsis rules of the nurses personnel highly influence the rise of the infections in hospitals.

Wprowadzenie: Aseptyka i antyseptyka to pojęcia, które stanowią nieodłączny element w pracy pielęgniarki. Bardzo istotna jest aby znać te pojęcia i je przestrzegać, ponieważ pielęgniarka z pośród całego personelu medycznego ma największy kontakt z pacjentem, dlatego też narażona jest najbardziej na zakażenia jakie występują w związku ich nieprzestrzeganiem.Cel: Ocena wiedzy pielęgniarek na temat przestrzegania zasad aseptyki i antyseptyki na Oddziale Chirurgii i Intensywnej Terapii.Materiał i metody: Badaniem zostało objętych 100 pielęgniarek pracujących na Oddziale Chirurgii i Intensywnej Terapii w Uniwersyteckim Szpitalu Dziecięcym w Krakowie. Badania przeprowadzone zostały za pomocą sondażu diagnostycznego, do którego wykorzystano kwestionariusz ankiety.Wyniki: W przeprowadzonych badaniach własnych wyniki wykazują, tan wiedzy w temacie przestrzegania zasad aseptyki i antyseptyki jest zróżnicowany i niewystarczający, dlatego też wymaga on dalszego ustawicznego kształcenia. Niedostateczne przestrzeganie zasad aseptyki i antyseptyki przez personel pielęgniarski w dużej mierze wpływa na wzrost zakażeń szpitalnych.
