Szkolnictwo wyższe w okresie transformacji systemowej w Polsce

The aim of this paper is to show the changes taking place in the system of higher education in Poland in the period of transformation. The choice of subject was due to personal reflection on the quality of education in Polish universities.The project consists of four parts. The first one gives an overview of the history of higher education in Poland and abroad. Described it as the most important problems of modern higher education in Poland .The second section describes the most important determinants of the system of higher education in Poland. Included are legal, institutional, financial, and cultural, which affects its shape.The third part includes an analysis of the situation of higher education in Krakow. It was presented by a number of statistics that the level of unemployment among graduates, as well as the issue of admissions in times of demographic decline.The last part contains a study of the quality of teaching at the Institute of Public Affairs at the Jagiellonian University, conducted among his students.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie przemian zachodzących w systemie szkolnictwa wyższego w Polsce w okresie transformacji systemowej. Wybór tematu wynikał z osobistych refleksji na temat jakości kształcenia w polskich uczelniach wyższych.Praca składa się z czterech części. Pierwsza z nich stanowi zarys historii szkolnictwa wyższego na świecie i w Polsce. Opisane zostały w niej także najważniejsze problemy współczesnego szkolnictwa wyższego w Polsce.W drugiej części opisane zostały najważniejsze uwarunkowania funkcjonowania systemu szkolnictwa wyższego w Polsce. Uwzględnione zostały aspekty prawne, instytucjonalne, finansowe i kulturowe, jakie wpływają na jego kształt.Trzecia część obejmuje analizę sytuacji szkolnictwa wyższego w Krakowie. Zaprezentowana została ona za pomocą licznych statystyk uwzględniających poziom bezrobocia wśród absolwentów, a także kwestię rekrutacji na studia w czasach niżu demograficznego.Ostatnia część zawiera badanie jakości nauczania w Instytucie Spraw Publicznych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, przeprowadzone wśród jego studentów.
