Revitalization of Postindustrial Monuments/Units for Cultural Destinations on the example of the city Zabrze.

Celem pracy było pokazanie jak ważnym elementem staje się dziedzictwo przemysłowe. Poprzez zaprezentowanie przykładów zrewitalizowanych terenów poprzemysłowych praca miała wykazać, że kierunek rozwoju turystyki industrialnej jest bardzo trafny i bardzo prężnie się rozwija. Aby lepiej zrozumieć istotę dziedzictwa przemysłowego, w pracy został zawarty rozdział historyczny omawiający problematykę i istotę dziedzictwa. Większość przykładów została przeanalizowana na przykładzie miasta Zabrze, wychodzącego na pozycję lidera w polskiej turystyce przemysłowej.

The aim of the thesis was to show how important role the industrial heritage plays nowadays. By presenting examples of revitalized postindustrial monuments the thesis was supposed to demonstrate that the direction of development of industrial tourism is very accurate and is growing rapidly. To better understand the nature of industrial heritage, thesis includes historical chapter treating about the issues and the essence of heritage. Most of the analyzed examples is based on the city of Zabrze, facing the leader in the Polish tourism industry.
