The perception of the value of work performed by prisoners and other people operating in non-detention settings.

Praca jest jednym z podstawowych elementów życia człowieka. Niejednokrotnie towarzyszy mu od wczesnych lat młodości, aż po uzyskanie emerytury, czasem jeszcze dłużej. Dla jednych praca jest pierwszorzędną wartością, która nadaje sens życia, jest sposobem na zarobienie dużych pieniędzy, innym natomiast kojarzy się z koniecznością lub warunkiem utrzymania siebie i rodziny. Pracę od dawna stosowano jako formę i metodę aktywizacji, reintegracji i resocjalizacji osób z różnymi problemami. W związku z powyższym interesującym zagadnieniem dla opracowania pracy magisterskiej było to, w jaki sposób postrzegana jest wartość pracy przez osadzonych w zakładach karnych, a jak przez osoby funkcjonujące w warunkach wolnościowych. W niniejszym opracowaniu zaprezentowano wyniki badań prowadzone w Zakładzie Karnym oraz w Powiatowym Urzędzie Pracy. Do uzupełnienia kwestionariusza ankiety poproszono zatem osadzonych i osoby bezrobotne funkcjonujące w warunkach wolnościowych. Dopełnieniem analizy badań pedagogicznych była interpretacja postrzegania wartości pracy przez osoby żyjące w warunkach wolnościowych, czyli doradców zawodowych i wychowawców penitencjarnych pracujących w wymienionych instytucjach.

Work is one of the basic elements of human life. It often accompanies a man from his early age until retirement, sometimes even longer. For some people work is a primary value that is the meaning of life, is a way of earning big money, while others associate it with the need or condition to maintain themselves and their families. The work has long been used as a form and method of activation, reintegration and rehabilitation of people with various problems. Accordingly, these interesting issues have become the basis for the development of the thesis to find out how the value of work is perceived by those being in detention, and how by those operating in non-detention settings. This study presents the results of research conducted in a Penal Institution and in the District Job Office. Therefore, prisoners and unemployed persons operating in non-detention settings have been asked to complete the questionnaire. To supplement the analysis of pedagogical research an interpretation has been performed of the perception of the value of work by people living in non-detention settings, that is, professional counselors and educators working in these penitentiary institutions.
