The entry to the register of the monuments is the most important, basic and the oldest form of heritage preservation in Polish legislation. The aim of the project is to present and analyse substantive and procedural aspects of the entry to the register of monuments. Definitions and notions are described in detail what is necessary to understand the institution of entry to the register of monuments. The entry to the register of monuments is a specific legal construction which consists of the administrative decision of entry into the register of monuments as well as some materially-technical activities which are necessary to enter in the appropriate books. The main emphasis is laid on the description of individual stages of entry to the register of monuments. Moreover, the subject of analysis is the administrative-law relation formed on the basis of entry to the register of monuments. Particularly, the subject, the participants, the essense of the matter and legal nature of this relation. In addition, the dissertation includes the description of legal and actual effects which arise from the entry to the register of monuments.

Wpis do rejestru zabytków jest najważniejszą, podstawową i najstarszą formą ochrony zabytków przewidzianą w polskim ustawodawstwie. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie i analiza aspektów procesowych i materialnoprawnych instytucji wpisu do rejestru zabytków. W sposób szczegółowy opisane zostały definicje i pojęcia niezbędne do zrozumienia tej instytucji. Wpis do rejestru zabytków jest specyficzną konstrukcją prawną składającą sie z decyzji o wpisie do rejestru zabytków oraz czynności materialno - technicznej czyli wpisu w odpowiednich księgach. Szczególny nacisk położony został na charakterystykę poszczególnych etapów wpisu do rejestru zabytków. Ponadto, analizie poddano stosunek administracyjnoprawny powstający na podstawie wpisu do rejestru zabytków, w szczególności jego przedmiot, podmioty, istotę i charakter prawny. Dodatkowo, praca zawiera opis skutków prawnych i faktycznych wpisu do rejestru zabytków.
