Fale upałów i okresy upalne na przykładzie Legnicy

Głównym celem pracy było wykazanie, że Legnica jest miastem, w którym bardzo często pojawiają się fale upałów i okresy upalne. Praca zawiera m.in. informację w jakich miesiącach występują fale upałów oraz okresy upalne, jaka jest liczba powtórzeń tych zjawisk oraz w jakich dniach one najczęściej występują. Na podstawie wyznaczonych kryteriów wyróżniono 35 fal upałów oraz 40 okresów upalnych w Legnicy w latach 1974-2013. Najdłuższa fala upałów wystąpiła w 1994. Najdłuższy okres upalny wystąpił w 1992 roku. W pracy przedstawiono, że fale upałów w Legnicy najczęściej pojawiają się w lipcu, okresy upalne w sierpniu. Dodatkowo fale upałów mogą wystąpić w czerwcu, a okresy upalne w maju oraz we wrześniu.

The main aim of my paper is to proof that Legnica is a town in which the waves and the heat periods quite often occur. The paper contains first of all an information about the months in which the heat waves and heat periods appear, what number of the repetition of these phenomena and which days they usually appear. On the basis of the determined criteria, 35 heat waves and 40 heat periods connecting with Legnica were taken. These phenomena occurred between 1974 and 2013. The longest heat wave occurred in 1994. The longest heat period occurred in 1992. This paper is to show that the heat waves in Legnica generally occur in July but the heat periods occur in August. In addition, the heat waves can appear in June whereas the heat periods in May and September.
