Harmful processes in the content management of information web portals as a result of tabloidisation and violations of the journalistic profession

This study aims to analyze the process of tabloidisation in online news media and the evaluation of its compliance with the standards and principles of journalistic ethics.The first chapter presents normative media theories and the history of transformations and changes in the media from the beginning of the eighteenth century. The second chapter describes the current law and the norms of journalistic ethics and tasks ought to be fulfilled by the media in present times. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of the information, which is main medium of communication. The fourth chapter discusses the concept of tabloidisation and its techniques one can find in the current media. The fifth chapter is devoted to the research, made by a qualitative approaches: content analysis and case study. The conclusion based on the materials of research and analyzed theory shows that tabloidisation occurs in the main online news sites: onet.pl and gazeta.pl and it is evident that tabloidization abuse ethic norms and rules.

Niniejsza praca ma celu analizę procesu tabloidyzacji w internetowych mediach informacyjnych oraz jego ocenę pod względem zgodności z normami i zasadami dziennikarskiej etyki zawodowej. W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawione są normatywne teorie mediów oraz historia przekształceń, jakim zostały poddane media od początku XVIII wieku. W rozdziale drugim opisane są obowiązujące prawa i normy etyki dziennikarskiej oraz zadania, jakie powinny pełnić media w obecnych czasach. Rozdział trzeci poświęcony jest analizie gatunku dziennikarskiego jakim jest informacja. W rozdziale czwartym przedstawione jest pojęcie tabloidyzacji oraz techniki, które świadczą o obecności tego procesu w przekazach medialnych. Rozdział piąty to badania jakościowe: analiza treści oraz studium przypadku. Na podstawie badanych materiałów i przeanalizowanej teorii nasuwa się wniosek świadczący o obecności tabloidyzacji w wiodących internetowych portalach informacyjnych: onet.pl oraz gazeta.pl. Dowiedziono również, iż wybrane techniki tabloidyzacji są zaprzeczeniem obowiązujących zasad etyki dziennikarskiej.
