Niniejsza praca analizuje wybrane opowiadania Gézy Csátha. Utwory Matkobójstwo, Mała Emma oraz Czarna cisza stanowiły wyjątek w nowelistyce węgierskiej i były rzadkością w litareturze światowej ze względu na sposób ukazania głównych bohaterów. Autor podważa renesansowy archetyp dziecka, przedstawiając świat, w którym żyją, jako odpowiednik świata ludzi dorosłych, w którym rządzą te same instynkty, okrucieństwo oraz ciekawość, która może mieć tragiczne skutki. Kolejne rozdziały tej pracy zawierają analizę i porównanie najważniejszych aspektów, postaci i wątków każdego z utworów, pozwalając w wyraźny sposób dostrzec podobieństwa i różnice między opowiadaniami oraz ukazując znaczenie dzieł ze względu na sens ideowy.

This work is an analysis of chosen novels by Géza Csáth. The matricide, Little Emma and The black silence were exceptions in the world’s literature because of presenting child protagonists in a much different way, than the others of similar theme. The author rejects the renessaince archetype of a child. He creates the world of kids as the equivalent of adults world, where rule the same instincts, brutality and dangerous curiosity, which can lead to tragic consequences. The successive chapters of the work include the analysis and comparision the main aspects, characters and threads each of stories allowing the reader to see the similarities as well as differences and show the importance of the compositions as regards the ideological sense.
