Narrative identity in the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur

W niniejszej pracy omówiono pojęcie tożsamości narracyjnej w myśli Paula Ricoeura, jegokorzenie i sposób jego wypracowania, a także ostateczny kształt i rolę w systemie filozofa. Jakogłówne punkty odniesienia posłużyły dwa jego ważne dzieła: "Czas i opowieść" oraz "O sobie samymjako innym". Szczególną uwagę poświęcono hermeneutycznej metodzie, która doprowadziła doteorii tożsamości narracyjnej. Na marginesie tych analiz koncepcja Ricoeura zestawiona została zinnymi, popularnymi teoriami narratywistycznymi.

This thesis is dedicated to the concept of narrative identity in the thought of Paul Ricoeur, its rootsand methods bringing to it, as well as its final form and role in Ricoeur's philosophical system. Twomain works referred to are "Time and Narrative" and "Oneself as Another". Special insight was giveninto the hermeneutic method that led to the theory of narrative identity discussed. Beside thisanalysis, Ricoeur's theory is compared to several other popular narrative theories.
