Polish paratroops between 1941-1992.

Tematem pracy są dzieje spadochroniarstwa oraz rozwój jednostek powietrzno-desantowych Polskich Sił Zbrojnych. Przedstawiono w niej historię czterech jednostek desantu powietrznego: 1 Samodzielnej Brygady Spadochronowej, Cichociemnych, 6 Pomorskiej Dywizji Powietrznodesantowej oraz 6 Brygady Desantowo-Szturmowej. Są to najważniejsze jednostki tworzące obecny obraz wojsk spadochronowych oraz części wojsk specjalnych.Celem tej rozprawy jest przeanalizowanie, jak przebiegał rozwój myśli technicznej związanej z zastosowaniem jednostek powietrznodesantowych w przeszłości. W sposób szczegółowy przedstawiano organizację polskich wojsk desantu powietrznego oraz koncepcje ich użycia w zależności od sytuacji politycznej i militarnej w okresie II wojny światowej jak i w okresie powojennym. Do rozprawy postanowiłem włączyć temat Cichociemnych żołnierzy Armii Krajowej. Pomimo, że jednostka ta nie tworzy odrębnego regularnego oddziału Wojska Polskiego, to są oni nierozerwalnie połączeni z dziejami oraz ewolucją wojsk powietrznodesantowych.

The theme is the history of parachuting operation and development of airborne units of Polish Armed Forces. It presents the story of four units of Airborne:1st Independent Parachute Brigade, the Unseen and Silent forces, the 6th Pomeranian Airborne Division and 6 Airborne Brigade. These are major entities forming the current image of parachutists and part of the special forces.The purpose of this hearing is to examine what the developments related technical thoughts using airborne units in the past. The detail presented the organization of Polish troops Airborne and concepts for their use depending on the political and military situation during the Second World War and in the postwar period. I decided to turn to a hearing on the Unseen and Silent forces of Home Army. Despite the fact, that these force does not create a separate regular unit of the Polish Army, but they are inseparably connected with the history and the evolution of airborne forces.
