W Krytyce czystego rozumu Kant podkreśla, że umysł tworzy podczas poznania specyficzne struktury, takie jak czas i przestrzeń. W ten sposób wyjaśnia połączenie pomiędzy estetyką a poznaniem, gdzie kluczowym momentem jest akt kreacji powiązany z poetyckością. W ujęciu poznania przez Kennetha White'a, człowiek jest kimś, kto ma sposobność do użycia zmysłu przestrzeni w celu odnalezienia nowego spojrzenia na świat. Celem tej pracy jest ukazanie spuścizny kantowskiej i jej związku z nowatorskim ujęciem zagadnienia przez White'a.

In Critique of pure reason Kant underlines mind's ability to create a specific structures as time and space during the cognition. This is the way how he explicites connection between aesthetics and cognition where the main point is the act of creation linked to the poetics. In Kenneth White's vision of cognition human being is someone who has a possibility to use a sense of space in order to regain a new perspective. The aim of this study is to show the legacy of Kant and its correspondence to the innovative approach of the matter by White.
