Introductions in liturgical books as source of celebrans’ teaching in The Kievan Metropolitanate in 16th-17th century

W XVI -XVII w. w metropolii kijowskiej w związku z powstaniem pierwszych typografii pojawiły się drukowane księgi cerkiewne, a wraz z nimi dostępniejsze stały się zamieszczone w nich nauki dla kapłanów. Zwłaszcza w pozycjach liturgicznych (służebnikach, trebnikach) umieszczano cenne z punktu widzenia odnowy życia duchowego dodatki dla kapłanów: liczne przedmowy, dedykacje, posłowia i dodatkowe artykuły. Były one mocno związane z lokalną liturgiczną praktyką i obrzędem oraz religijnym, duchowym i kulturalnym życiem w metropolii, stanowiły cenne źródło wiedzy użytecznej dla kapłanów.

In the 16th and 17th centuries teachings for priests in the Metropolitanate of Kiev became more accessible due to appearance of the first typographies. Especially the teachings from editions in church books were distributed with a help of print. Liturgiarions, euchologions, nomocanons and other items of a liturgical and church use, often preceded by more than one foreword, additional "words", with an afterword were somehow a "natural environment" of the occurrence of these teachings. They are strongly related to the local liturgical and ritual practice, religious, spiritual and cultural life and are a source of much valuable information for priests.
