Architektura w filmie ekspresjonistycznym

The thesis concerns the architectural scenery of four silent films from a German motion-picture production company UFA (Universum Film AG): "The Golem" by Paul Wegener (1920), "Nosferatu" (1922) by Friedrich Murnau, "The Nibelungs" (1924) and "Metropolis" (1926) by Fritz Lang. The analysis of different solutions which were applied in discussed works indicates that the architectural decoration was an integral and even decisive element of expressionist films.

Praca dotyczy architektonicznej scenografii czterech niemych filmów berlińskiej wytwórni UFA (Universum Film AG): „Golem” Paula Wegenera (1920), „Nosferatu” (1922) Friedricha Murnaua, „Nibelungi” (1924) i „Metropolis” (1926) Fritza Langa. Analiza różnych zastosowanych rozwiązań wskazuje, że dekoracja architektoniczna była nieodłącznym, a nawet decydującym elementem filmu ekspresjonistycznego.
