Individual differences in temperament and character and the level of artistry among young adults.

Praca ta jest poświęcona badaniom ilościowym nad temperamentem i charakterem, mierzonymi za pomocą Kwestionariusza Temperamentu i Charakteru autorstwa Roberta Cloningera, w wersji standaryzowanej autorstwa Antoniego Wontorczyka (TCI - R 56). Wyniki testu zostały skorelowane z wynikami testu autorstwa własnego, a opartego na założeniach teoretycznych testu MBTI- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.Przebadane zostały trzy grupy osób- artyści, osoby, które cechuje wysoki stopień zainteresowania naukami ścisłymi oraz grupa kontrolna. Założenie testu mierzącego poziom artyzmu zostało spełnione. Cechy artystyczne uwidoczniły się znacznie bardziej u osób, które podejmują się w rzeczywistości lub we własnej ocenie zadań i zawodów artystycznych i jest to wynik istotny statystycznie.Wyniki badanych osób zostały poddane weryfikacji statystycznej także pod kątem różnic temperamentalnych. W dwóch skalach wyróżnionych w kwestionariuszu TCI otrzymano wynik wyższy u osób o profilu artystycznym w porównaniu z grupą odznaczającą się zainteresowaniami ścisłymi. Są to skale: wytrwałość i transcendencja.

This master’s thesis is devoted to the quantitative research on temperament and character, as measured by the Temperament and Character Inventory research work by Robert Cloninger, Antoni Wontorczyk standardized version. The test results were correlated with results of the test created by the author of this thesis, which has been based on theoretical assumptions of MBTI- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.Three groups of people were tested: artists, people who have a high degree of interest in the sciences and the control group. Establishment of a test to determine the level of artistry has been fulfilled. Features arts were seen significantly more in a group of people who take in reality or in self-assessment tasks and artistic professions and it is the result statistically significant.The results were statistically analyzed in order to distinguish differences within temperament and character. Two scales distinguished in the questionnaire TCI received a score higher within people with artistic profile in comparison with a group of distinguished as scientists. These are scales: persistence and self- transcendence.
