Praca jest analiza i porownaniem dwoch powiesci wymienionych w jej tytule. Porownuje realizacje obrazu matki i macierzynstwa, jak i ukazanie postaci pozostalych kobiet, postaci ojca dziecka i ojca glownej bohaterki razem z ich intepretacja. Omowiona zostaje rowniez kwestia ukazania dyskusji z czasow Republiki Weimarskiej wokol praw kobiet, w tym prawa do aborcji i losow pierwszych studentek.

Die Arbeit ist eine Analyse der zwei Romanen. Es werden die Bilder von Muetter und Muetterlichkeit verglichen, sowie die Figuren von anderen Frau der Handlung, Figur des Vaters von dem Kind der Heldin und ihres eigenen Vaters praenetiert,zusammen mit ihren Interpretation. Es wird auch die Frage aus der Diskussion um Frauenstudium besprochen, sowie Abtreibungsfrage und Schicksal der ersten Studentinnengeneration.

The thesis is an analysis and comparison of the two novels. It compares the two pictures of a mother and motherhood, and also the pictures of the other women from the book, their fathers and the child's father, together with its interpretation. There is also an analysis of the discussion from the Weimar Republic about women's rights, their right to abortion and academical education.
