Pierwsze rozdziały opisują rozwój i wykorzystanie energii jądrowej na całym świecie, w tym elektrownie jądrowe oraz broń atomową. Kolejne zajmują się zagadnieniem wykorzystania i historii owej energii w państwie francuskim, przedstawiając przy tym obecny stan atomu we Francji. Ostatnie rozdziały poświęcone są uczestnictwie Francji w traktatach ograniczających rozprzestrzenianie broni masowego rażenia. Instrumencie obrony jaki jest odstraszanie atomowe oraz dyplomacji nuklearnej, czyli komu sprzedaje energią, komponenty i usługi jądrowe oraz w jakich państwach prowadzą działalność.

The first chapters describe the development and use of nuclear energy around the world, including nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Another deal with the issue of the use and history of this energy in the French state, while presenting the current state of the atom in France. The last chapters are devoted to the participation of France in treaties limiting the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Instrument of defense which is nuclear deterrence and nuclear diplomacy, or who sells energy, nuclear components and services, and in which countries they operate.
