Widmo prymitywne C*-algebry A jest utożsamiane ze zbiorem ideałów prymitywnych Prim(A), gdzie ideały prymitywne są jądrami pewnych nieredukowalnych (nieprzywiedlnych) *-reprezentacji. Zbiór ideałów prymitywnych tworzy przestrzeń topologiczną wraz z topologią Jacobsona. W pracy zostały wprowadzone pojęcia algebr z inwolucją, widma algebry Banacha, topologicznie nieredukowalnych *-homomorfizmów C*-algebry oraz zbiór ideałów prymitywnych. Następnie wprowadzona zostaje definicja topologii Jacobsona oraz pokazane są pewne topologiczne właściwości widma prymitywnego.
Primitive spectrum of C*-algebra A is the set of primitive ideals Prim(A) of A, where a primitive ideal is the kernel of an irreducible *-representation. The set of primitive ideals is a topological space with the Jacobson topology. In this thesis there are introduced concepts such as an involutive algebra, the spectrum of Banach algebra, a topologically irreducible *-homomorphism of C*-algebra and the set of primitive ideals. Then there is implemented the definition of the Jacobson topology and shown some topological properties of the primitive spectrum.
