Relations between the Polish and the Jewish population of Szydłowiec during Second World War

Praca została poświęcona tematyce relacji polsko-żydowskich podczas II wojny światowej w Szydłowcu Historia tego miasta to historia wielu narodowości. Przed wojną miasto to było zamieszkałe w 70% przez Żydów, którzy w większości zginęli w wyniku Holokaustu. Praca została podzielona na cztery części. W pierwszej z nich autorka opisuje historię szydłowieckich Żydów przed wybuchem II wojny światowej, w drugiej lata 1939-1942, zaś w czwartej czasy powojenne. Część trzecia stanowi analizę stosunków polsko-żydowskich z uwzględnieniem nazistowskich restrykcji. W pracy zostały poruszone kwestie narodowościowe, społeczne, kulturowe oraz religijne.

The paper Polish-Jewish Relations during Second World War is an analysis of the Holocaust in Szydłowiec. The history of this town is a history of many nationalities. Almost all Jews, that were about 70% of the townsfolk just before the Second World War, were murdered in the result of Shoah. The paper consists of three parts. In the first of them, author analyses time before the Second World War. Next part describes 1939 and 1942 years. The third part includes relationships between the Polish and the Jewish population under a Nazi occupation. Last one is about time after the war. The paper points out nation, social, cultural and religious issues.
