Comparison of the costumes of Ashkenazi and Sefardic women reflected in the output of Maurycy Gotlieb

Praca porównuje stroje kobiet aszkenazyjskich i sefardyjskich orientalnych w twórczości Maurycego Gottlieba – najwybitniejszego ucznia Jana Matejki. W parcy ukazano biogram młodego artysty oraz historię strojów Żydówek na terenach państw Europy środkowej oraz państw Bliskiego i Dalekiego Wschodu od czasów biblijnych do połowy XIX wieku. Opisuje elementy ubioru charakterystyczne dla danych terenów, wykorzystane w pracach twórcy.

The Bachelor thesis compares costumes of Ashkenazi and Sephardic Oriental Women in creation of Maurycy Gottlieb- the most outstanding student of Jan Matejko. The work provides biography of young artist and history of Jewish clothing's in areas countries of Central Europe and the Middle and Far East, from biblical times to the mid – nineteenth century. Moreover it describes the items of clothing characteristic for these areas, used in the work of the creator.
