Chirurgia plastyczna w korygowaniu niektórych wad wrodzonych

Praca przedstawia problem towarzyszących defektów kosmetycznych wybranych wad wrodzonych oraz sposoby korygowania poprzez chirurgię plastyczną. Realizując temat pracy przedstawiono na podstawie dostępnych źródeł informacji patogenetyczne mechanizmy powstawania wad, typy oraz ich etiologię. Przedstawiony jest zakres wykorzystania możliwości chirurgii plastycznej w korekcji wyżej wymienionych wad. Dokonano szczegółowego opisu i klasyfikacji najczęstszych wad, które manifestują się w obrębie twarzoczaszki, klatki piersiowej oraz kończyn. Uwzględniono charakterystykę oraz częstotliwość występowania chorób oraz standardy współczesnych technik leczenia chirurgicznego.

This paper describes the problem of congenital defects and their correction through surgery. Birth defects cause a number of metabolic disorders and cosmetic defects. They also cause adverse effects on the fetus and contribute to morbidity and even death during childhood. Birth defect is an internal or external morphological abnormality involving the structure of the body, or any deviation from a normal organ function. Researching available sources of information, the work presents pathogenetic mechanisms of defect types and their etiology. Also, a division of plastic surgery into aesthetic and reconstructive surgery is included. The chapters contain detailed descriptions of the most common defects that manifest themselves as deformities in craniofacial areas, the chest and the limbs. Additionally, the characteristics and the incidence of the diseases as well as the standards of modern treatment techniques have been described.
