First Hutterite groups arrived in the United States in 1874 after three hundreds years of persecution occuring in Europe. Deriving from the anabaptist wing of Christianity, much like Amish and Mennonite societies, Hutterites are aiming at forming the truly christian society, in order to guarantee themselves the salvation. Living in the separation from the rest of the American society, they are willing to eliminate the potential impact of the western culture, which is perceived as a danger to the stability of its societies. Relying on the community of goods they are the living proof of the society that is able to put the material goods aside in the 21st. century.
