Female suicide bombers in Palestine -desperation or choice?

Tematem pracy jest problem kobiecych zamachów samobójczych na terytorium Palestyny. Analizę problemu rozpoczynam od wprowadzenia dotyczącego istoty religii Islamu. Punktem wyjścia do zrozumienia tematu pracy jest zapoznanie się z pojęciem dżihad. Następnie analizuję przebieg konfliktu izraelsko- palestyńskiego, który jest głównym źródłem ataków i niepokojów społecznych. Wymieniam najważniejsze palestyńskie organizacje niepodległościowe, które angażują kobiety. W niniejszej pracy znajduje się charakterystyka dziesięciu kobiet kamikadze, przeanalizowane zostały motywy i okoliczności ich ataków. Zakończeniem pracy jest refleksja na temat jak można przeciwdziałać zagrożeniom samobójczych ataków bombowych na terytorium Palestyny.

The subject of my thesis is the problem of women suicide attempts on the territory of palestine. The analysis of the problem I start from the introduction to the essence of the religion of Islam.Starting point for understanding the topic is familiarize yourself with the concept of Jihad .Next, I analyze the course of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, which is primary source of attacks and social anxiety. The most important indepandence Palestinian organizations which involve women, are mentioned. In my master’s thesis there are characteristics of ten kamikaze women.Motives and circumastances of their attacks have been analyzed.Completion of the worki is a reflection about ways to counter threats of suicide bomb attacks in Palestine.
