Geneza wizerunku żyda w literaturze XIX wieku i jego przykłady w wybranych opowiadaniach Gustavo Adolfo Bécquera i Emilii Pardo Bazán

This thesis seeks to explore the origins and history of prejudices against the jews that formed a part of spanish society since its very beginnig. It analises the relationship between the cristian majority and jewish minority since the gothic times until the expulsion in 1492. It explains the legal status of spanish jews in Castile. This work studies the folk prejudices against the jews, the acisations that were formed against them and their consecuences - the violent atacs in the jewish destricts that led to the expulsion. It presents briefly the reasons of the european antisemitism in XIXth century and it's particular nature en Spain. It menciones also a fenomenon os spanish filosemitism in the end of XIXth century and it's influence in the literature of that moment. As follows, the thesis analizes the negative image of the jews descibed earlier in the text in short stories of two authors: Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer and Emilia Pardo Bazán. It shows the folk origin of inspiration of both of the writers in the analized texts.

Niniejsza praca ma na celu znalezienie przyczyn i prześledzenie historii uprzedzeń przeciw żydom, którzy stanowili część społeczeństwa hiszpańskiego od jego zarania. Przedstawia się w niej relacje między chrześcijańską większością i żydowską mniejszością od czasów panowania gotów aż do wygnania żydów z półwyspu w 1492 roku. Opisuje się także status prawny żydów mieszkających w Kastylii. Bada się przesądy ludowe przeciw izraelitom i oskarżenia na nich rzucane wraz z ich konsekwencjami - od ataków na gminy żydowskie aż po dekret o wygnaniu. Opisuje się pokrótce przyczyny europejskiego antysemityzmu w XIX wieku i jego szczególny charakter w Hiszpanii. Wspomina się o zjawisku filosemityzmu pod koniec XIX wieku i jego odzwierciedlenie w literaturze. W dalszej części pracy analizuje się wcześniej nakreślony, negatywny wizerunek żyda w opowiadaniach dwóch dziewiętnastowiecznych autorów - Gustavo Adolfo Bécquera i Emilii Pardo Bazán. Wskazuje się na ludową proweniencję inspiracji powyższych pisarzy przy konstruowaniu postaci żydów.

La presente memoria tiene como objetivo buscar los orígenes y estudiar la historia de los prejuicios contra los judíos que formaban parte de la sociedad española desde sus orígenes. Se analizan aquí las relaciones entre la mayoría cristiana y la minoría judía desde los tiempos de los reyes godos hasta la expulsión en el año 1492. Se estudia el estatus legal de las comunidades judías en Castilla. Se estudian los prejuicios populares contra los hebreos, las acusaciones contra ellos y sus consecuencias - desde los ataques contra las aljamas hasta el decreto de la expulsión. Se presentan brevemente los motivos del antisemitismo europeo del siglo XIX y su índole en España. Se menciona también el fenómeno del filosemitismo español en sus comienzos al final del siglo XIX y su influencia en la literatura de aquel momento. A continuación se analiza la imagen negativa del judío anteriormente esbozada en los cuentos de dos autores decimonónicos - Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer y Emilia Pardo Bazán. Se indica el imaginario popular español como fuente de inspiración de los dos autores.
