Autor w pracy analizuje i porównuje działania administracji rządu federalnego Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki, które miały na celu zakończyć Wielki Kryzys i Kryzys hipoteczny, który rozpoczął się w 2007 roku. W pierwszym rozdziale omówiona zostaje geneza Wielkiego Kryzysu, a także sposoby walki w czasach prezydentury Herberta C. Hoovera, a także Franklina Delano Roosevelta (ze szczególnym naciskiem na program "New Deal). Rozdział drugi to analogiczny do rozdziały pierwszego opis genezy kryzysu hipotecznego w USA i analiza Troubled Asset Relief Program stworzonego przez Departament Skarbu pod koniec kadencji prezydenta George'a W. Bush. Opisano również działanie wyżej wymienionego programu w trakcie prezydentury Baracka Obamy. Rozdział trzeci to porównanie działań rządu federalnego w trakcie Wielkiego Kryzysu i Kryzysu, który wybuchł w 2007 roku.
Author of this document analyzes and compares actions that were taken by federal government of the United States of America against Great Depression and Subprime mortgage crisis. In the first chapter, author analyzes origin of the Great Depression and actions taken by federal government to end aforementioned crisis. This chapter is divided into two parts. The first one is about times of president Herbert C. Hoover and in the second one is about Franklin Delano Roosevelt's government (especially about New Deal).The second chapter contains analysis of Subprime mortgage crisis. Similarly to the first chapter it describes origin of the crisis and actions that were taken to stop the depression. In the third chapter, author compares actions taken by federal government to stop Great Depression and Subprime mortgage crisis.
