Provincialism in Tadeusz Kantors Theater of Death

The thesis concerns the concept of provincialism in the Theatre of Death Tadeusz Kantor. He was an artist operating in very many areas of art: the art of theater, painting, drawing, designing sculptures and installations, was also a theoretician of the theater. Kantor is known throughout the world primarily as the author of theatrical performances and reformer of world theater. Fame and notoriety gave him primarily performances created in the last episode of his theatrical work - the Theatre of Death. In this episode the most important motive was appealing to his own childhood memories and trying to restore them on stage. This thesis attempts to find the elements of performances, which refer to the concept of provincialism. Determine which of them are provincial. Praca dotyczy pojęcia prowincjonalności w Teatrze Śmierci Tadeusza Kantora. Był to artysta działający na bardzo wielu płaszczyznach artystycznych: sztuka teatralna, malarstwo, rysunek, projektował rzeźby i instalacje, był również teoretykiem teatru. Kantor jest znany na całym świecie przede wszystkim jako autor spektakli teatralnych oraz reformator światowego teatru. Sławę i rozgłos przyniosły mu przede wszystkim spektakle tworzone w ostatnim etapie swojej twórczości teatralnej czyli Teatrze Śmierci. W teatrze tym najważniejszym motywem było odwoływanie się do własnych wspomnień z dzieciństwa i próba przywrócenia ich na scenie.
