The influence of film music on the understanding of meanings given by the primary school students that are based on Disney`s cartoons adaptations.

Nauczanie kontekstowe jest skutecznym sposobem motywowania, którego celem jest kształtowanie wrażliwości uczniów. W niniejszej pracy zostanie podjęta próba określenia, w jakim stopniu muzyka filmowa wpływa na rozumienie przez uczniów szkoły podstawowej znaczeń naddanych na przykładzie filmowych adaptacji bajek Disneya. Głównym problemem badawczym było znalezienie odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: Czemu służy muzyka filmowa? Czym się charakteryzuje? Jakie funkcje może pełnić muzyka w filmie? Jak uczniowie szkoły podstawowej postrzegają współczesne filmy animowane?

Contextual teaching is an effective motivational method, the target of which remains to develop the pupils’ sensibility. The following work is an attempt of determinating, to what degree film music might influence the understanding of pre-defined meanings, on basis of movie adaptations of Disney’s tales. The main research goal has been to provide answers for the following questions: what does film music stand for? What are her traits? What functions could musical scores perform in the overall movie experience? And how do primary school pupils possibly comprehend contemporary animated tales?
