Sociolect of women practising fitness (selected lexical issues)

The aim of this work is to explore a new sociolect in the Polish language, namely women exercising fitness. Since there have been no researches on the vocabulary of this social group so far, this will be the first look at this language. The subject of the analysis will be the language material collected from fitness clubs located in the Nowy Targ and Cracow districts. Work is an attempt to answer the question of what sociolect represents the language of women exercising fitness, what is characterized by the main mechanisms that make up fitness vocabulary.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie socjolektu stosunkowo nowego w polszczyźnie, a mianowicie kobiet ćwiczących fitness. Ponieważ do tej pory nie pojawiły się prace badawcze traktujące o słownictwie tej grupy społecznej, będzie to pierwsze spojrzenie tę odmianę języka. Przedmiotem analizy będzie zebrany samodzielnie materiał językowy, pochodzący z klubów fitness znajdujących się w powiecie nowotarskim i krakowskim. Praca jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie, jaki socjolekt reprezentuje język kobiet ćwiczących fitness, czym się charakteryzuje, jakie są główne mechanizmy tworzące fitnessowe słownictwo.
