Expressing tense, mode and aspect in Haitian Creole language

Języki kreolskie, ich struktura oraz geneza od wielu lat przyciągają uwagę językoznawców z całego świata. Niniejsza praca magisterska nosi tytuł „Wyrażanie kategorii czasu, trybu i aspektu w haitańskim języku kreolskim” oraz stanowi próbę szczegółowej analizy tychże elementów w ujęciu zarówno synchronicznym, jak i pod kątem prawdopodobnego pochodzenia wykładników wymienionych kategorii gramatycznych. Ponadto, traktuje o ogólnych zagadnieniach z dziedziny kreolistyki takich jak geneza, proces kreolizacji oraz cechy charakterystyczne tej grupy języków oraz języków mieszanych nieustabilizowanych – pidginów. Praca powstała w celu wykazania jak kompleksowym zjawiskiem są języki kreolskie oraz ze względu na fakt, iż, zdaniem autorki, w polskim językoznawstwie poświęcana im jest niewystarczająca ilość uwagi.

Creole languages, their structure and Genesis for many years attract attention of linguists from all over the world. This master’s thesis entitled „Expressing tense, mode and aspect in Haitian Creole language” constitute an attempt to analyse those elements in details both from the synchronic point of view and in terms of their possible origins. Moreover, the thesis concerns such topics as the genesis and the processus of crealisation of a language, main characteristics of this group of languages and also of the mixed languages that are not stabilised – the pidgins. The purpose of this thesis was to show that creole languages constitute very complex phenomenon to which Polish lingusits don’t give enough attention.
