From the Catholic to the entertainment. Transformation of TV Puls and chances of further development

This work describes the origin of TV Puls, a Catholic station initially, which changed its profile over the years. In addition to describing the history of the station, the author analyzes its current program to check the chances of increasing viewership to the level of the largest Polish broadcasters: TVP 1, TVP 2, TVN and Polsat. The work is also an attempt to answer the question whether there is room for another "big player" in our television market.

Praca opisuje genezę TV Puls, początkowo katolickiej stacji, która na przestrzeni lat zmieniła profil na rozrywkowy. Oprócz opisania historii stacji autor analizuje jej obecną ramówkę pod kątem szans zwiększenia oglądalności do poziomu największych polskich nadawców: TVP 1, TVP 2, TVN i Polsatu. Praca jest również próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy na naszym rynku telewizyjnym jest miejsce dla kolejnego "dużego gracza".
