Czy poezja romansuje z polityką? Czyli słów kilka o poezji politycznej w świecie arabskim. Na podstawie twórczości Badra Šākira as-Sayyāba

In the first chapter I began with the explanation of the phenomenom of political poetry in the arabic world throughout different eras. I started from the overview of the relation between the politics and the poetry from jahiliyyah period to an-Nahdah. I'm also explaining the role of the poets in political life of the arabic Middle East. In this chapter I show that the relation of the romance between the politics and the poetry is a continuative phenomenon that has been present in the arabic world ever since.The second chapter is a short historical introduction to Badr Šākir as-Sayyāb's (1926-1964) life where I'm writing about the events which occured between the british invasion in Iraq in 1914 and the fall of ʿAbd al-Karīm Qāsim during the baathist coup d'etat in 1963.The third part of my thesis is about the personal life, career and involvement of the iraqi poet Badr Šākir as-Sayyāb in the political life of the region. I have also included there the analysis of two of his poems: "Ode to Revolutionary Iraq" and "Weapons and Children" with the explanation of the presence of political ideology and historical analogies inside them.

W pierwszym rozdziale pracy poruszyłem temat zależności pomiędzy polityką i poezją w świecie arabskim od okresu dżahiliji, aż po renesans arabski (an-Nahḍa). Znajdują się tam informacje dotyczące roli społecznej i politycznej poetów różnych epok. Ukazuję tam, iż romans pomiędzy polityką i poezją jest zjawiskiem ciągłym i towarzyszy Arabom od czasów najdawniejszych.Drugi rozdział stanowi wprowadzenie historyczne do okresu życia irackiego poety Badra Šākira as-Sayyāba (1926-1964 r.). Opisuję tam krótko wydarzenia od inwazji Brytyjczyków na Irak w 1914 roku, aż po upadek władzy i śmierć ʿAbd al-Karīma Qāsima w 1963 roku.Trzeci rozdział obejmuje informacje z zakresu życia prywatnego as-Sayyāba, jak również jego twórczości literackiej i działalności politycznej. Dodatkowo znajduje się tam analiza i interpretacja dwóch wybranych utworów poety: "Do rewolucyjnego Iraku" oraz "Broń i dzieci" wraz z objaśnieniem występujących w tekstach nawiązań do ideologii politycznych i historii.
