Obie postaci znajdują się w momencie odejścia "starego porządku", z czym nie potrafią się pogodzić. Zamknięte są przez to w bańce czasu, która więzi je w świecie fantazji przynoszącym ukojenie.

The stereotype of Southern Belle shown on example of Blanche DuBois and Jasmine French, heroines of Tennessee Williams and Woody Allen. Belle as a figure which nowadays belongs to the pop culture, when it's origin has been forgotten. Both Blanche and Jasmine finds themselves in a moment when the "old order" collapses and they can not reconcile. They are closed in a time, prisoned in a world of fantasy which at the same time brings consolation.
