"Z lśnień i wód utkany Stambuł..." Morski krajobraz miasta we współczesnej poezji tureckiej

The aim of this thesis is to present the image of Istanbul and the sea in modern turkish poetry.The thesis consists of six parts. The emergence of modern turkish poetry is shown in the introduction. The issue discussed in the first chapter is about significant role, which the city of Istanbul plays in literature and especially in poetry.The second chapter is devoted to various aspects of the city’s marine scenery. It contains poems about the sea, which are referring to the particular places in Istanbul and are connected with its’ marine landscape. Furthermore, it shows different motifs, recurring in the poetry as seagulls, ships or bridges all of which are typical of the marine scenery of Istanbul. The main content of this chapter is preceded by a brief introduction. It refers to geographical location of the city and the meaning of sea landscape in poetry.The third chapter concerns the most important aspect of marine Istanbul – Bosphorus. The poems shown in the first part of this chapter are devoted to the strait itself as well as the districts located on its coasts which in Turkish are called Boğaziçi.The second part of this chapter contains the pieces of work about the city’s view during the night. Poems shown in this part are mainly focused on important motif in the poetry – the moonlight. In this part the meaning of the moonlight for the people of Istanbul is briefly discussed. The third part of the chapter two is about coastal villas called yalı, located on Bosphorus’ coasts and characteristic features of the marine landscape.The last chapter of this thesis refers to love poems which contain marine aspects of Istanbul.

W niniejszej pracy ukazano wizerunek morskiego krajobrazu Stambułu we współczesnej poezji tureckiej. Treść pracy składa się z sześciu części. We wstępie pokrótce przedstawione są okoliczności kształtowania się współczesnej poezji tureckiej. W pierwszym rozdziale mowa o istotnej roli, jaką odgrywa Stambuł w literaturze, a zwłaszcza w poezji. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest rozmaitym aspektom morskiej scenerii miasta. Zawiera on wiersze opowiadające o morzu i nawiązujące do konkretnych miejsc Stambułu, związanych z wodnym krajobrazem. Ponadto, prezentuje różne, powtarzające się w poezji motywy, takie jak charakterystyczne dla morskiej scenerii mewy, statki czy też mosty. Zasadnicza treść rozdziału poprzedzona jest krótkim wprowadzeniem. Dotyczy ono położenia geograficznego Stambułu oraz znaczenia morskiego krajobrazu w poezji.Trzeci rozdział pracy obejmuje najbardziej rozpoznawalny aspekt morskiego Stambułu – Bosfor. Przedstawione w pierwszej części tego rozdziału wiersze poświęcone są zarówno cieśninie, jak i położonym nad jej brzegami dzielnicom, zwanym po turecku Boğaziçi. Na drugą część rozdziału składają się utwory, których tematem jest obraz miasta nocą. Prezentowane w nim wiersze koncentrują się przede wszystkim na istotnym motywie w poezji stambulskiej, jakim jest światło księżyca. W tej części krótko omawiane jest znaczenie księżyca dla stambulczyków. Trzecia część rozdziału drugiego jest poświęcona charakterystycznym, usytuowanym nad brzegami Bosforu nadmorskim willom zwanym po turecku yalı. Ostatni rozdział pracy dotyczy utworów miłosnych, dla których tło stanowi morska sceneria miasta.
