Udary kory mózgowej i ich terapie

The subject of my work are strokes of the cerebral cortex and their therapies. Stroke is a very common disease in Poland, where the morbidity is 60,000 people a year. Unfortunately, there is still no effective way to prevent this brain damage. The thesis also covers issues related to diagnostics and the most common symptoms occurring after a stroke. The importance of plasticity in nervous tissue as well as its fundamental function in post-stroke rehabilitation were considered. Previously known therapies available in Polish health centers as well as promising studies on the impact of dental pulp stem cells on damaged nervous tissue were also discussed.

Przedmiotem mojej pracy są udary kory mózgowej oraz ich terapie. Udar mózgu jest bardzo powszechną chorobą w Polsce, gdzie zapadalność wynosi 60 tysięcy osób rocznie. Niestety wciąż nie znaleziono skutecznego sposobu na zapobieganie tym uszkodzeniom mózgu. W pracy poruszono kwestie dotyczące diagnostyki oraz najczęstszych objawów występujących po udarze. Opisano znaczenie plastyczności w tkance nerwowej, jak również jej fundamentalną funkcję w rehabilitacji poudarowej. Omówiono również znane dotąd terapie dostępne w polskich ośrodkach zdrowia oraz dobrze rokujące badania nad wpływem komórek macierzystych miazgi zębowej na uszkodzoną tkankę nerwową.
