The impact of Industry 4.0 on the world of work

Przemysł 4.0 jest terminem, który w ostatnich latach stawał się coraz bardziej powszechny. Pod pojęciem Przemysł 4.0 rozumie się digitalizację, która łączy świat wirtualny ze światem rzeczywistym (Frick, 2014).Dlatego celem przedstawionej pracy było zbadanie wpływu Industry 4.0 na świat pracy, a także wyjaśnienie, w jakim stopniu zmiany te wpłyną na przywództwo. W ten sposób zgromadzenie teoretycznych spostrzeżeń i empirycznych doświadczeń stworzyło podstawę do tego badania. Dlatego w ramach tej pracy przeprowadzono ankietę oraz oparty na wytycznych wywiad ekspercki w celu uzupełnienia teoretycznych spostrzeżeń tymi bardziej praktycznymi.Zebrane spostrzeżenia pokazują, że wpływ Industry 4.0 na świat pracy jest ogromny, a ponadto prowadzi do zmiany wymagań dotyczących przywództwa. Z tego powodu pojawiają się fundamentalne zmiany zarówno w społeczeństwie jak i gospodarce.Na podstawie tej pracy zaleca się przeprowadzenie dalszych badań teoretycznych i empirycznych, które przyniosą nowy wgląd w temat. Dalsze badania mogą zbadać wpływ Przemysłu 4.0 na określone obszary świata pracy lub społeczeństwo.

Industry 4.0 is a term, which made it more and more often into the public eye in the last years. Under the term Industry 4.0, a digitization is understandable, which connects the virtual world with the real world (Frick, 2014).Therefore, the aim of the presented thesis was to investigate the impact of Industry 4.0 on the world of work as well as to clarify to what extent the requirements for leadership will be affected due to these changes. Thereby, the assembly of theoretical insights and an empirical research had formed the foundation for this investigation. Thus, in the frame of this thesis a questionnaire as well as a guideline-based expert interview was conducted with the aim to supplement the theoretical insights with additional practical insights.The collected insights show that the impact of Industry 4.0 on the world of work is enormous and furthermore, it also leads to the change of the requirements for the leadership. Herefrom, fundamental changes in the society as well as in the economy appear. On the basis of this thesis, it is recommendable to conduct further theoretical investigations and empirical researches, which will bring new insights to the topic. Further investigations could examine the impact of Industry 4.0 on specific areas of the world of work or the impact of Industry 4.0 on the society.
