W niniejszej pracy omówiony został problem istniejących barier wprocesie wdrażania innowacji w zarządzaniu miastem. Cała praca oparta została naprzykładzie innowacji jaką jest koncepcja smart city. Szczególnej analizie zostałypoddane dwa polskie miasta – Rzeszów i Kraków. Podstawowe pytania, podjęte wmoich rozważaniach, to czy w Polsce rozwój miast oparty jest na koncepcji smart cityoraz jakie istnieją możliwości i bariery w procesie wdrażania wspomnianej koncepcji.Wynikiem moich rozważań jest opracowany zbiór możliwości oraz barier w procesiewdrażania koncepcji smart city w polskich miastach.

In my coursework I have discussed the problem regarding barriers in theimplementation process of innovations. My essay was based on an example ofinnovation as a concept of smart city. I particularly analyzed two Polish cities: Rzeszówand Kraków. I took into consideration two significant questions. Is urban developmentin Polish cities based on the concept of smart city? What possibilities and barrierspresently exist in the implementation process? The result of my research is a set ofpossibilities and barriers in the implementation process of concept of smart city inPoland.
