The influence of attachment to parents on the social-emotional development of a child

The purpose of this thesis is to present the influence of attachment to parents on the social – emotional development of a child. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to family and non - family factors which impact the social – emotional development of a child. This part provides the definition of attachment and the genesis of this phenomenon developing in early childhood, as well as giving reasons to prove its crucial impact on the future functioning of a child. Additionally, characteristics of different attachment styles and their influence on the development of a child were presented alongside behaviour disorders being the result of improper care. The methodological part concerns methodology of self- study. It contains a research project whose aim is to get the answer to the main problem. In this part the definitions of such concepts as the problem of the study, the subject of study, the aim of the study, techniques, methods, variables and indicators were given.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie wpływu przywiązania do rodziców na rozwój społeczno-emocjonalny dziecka. Praca składa się z części teoretycznej oraz metodologicznej. Część teoretyczna poświęcona jest czynnikom rodzinnym i pozarodzinnym oddziaływującym na rozwój społeczno-emocjonalny dziecka. Zdefiniowane zostało pojęcie przywiązania. Ukazano genezę tego – rozwijającego się w okresie wczesnego dzieciństwa – zjawiska. Wskazano powody, dla których ma ono istotny wpływ na dalsze funkcjonowanie dziecka. Przedstawiona została również charakterystyka stylów przywiązania i ich wpływ na rozwój dziecka oraz wynikające z nieprawidłowej opieki zaburzenia zachowania. Część metodologiczna pracy dotyczy metodologii badań własnych. Przedstawiony w niej został projekt badań, którego celem jest uzyskanie odpowiedzi na problem główny. Zostały zdefiniowane pojęcia takie jak: problem badawczy, przedmiot badań, cel badań, techniki, metody, zmienne oraz wskaźniki.
