Wpływ Arabskiej Wiosny na sektor turystyczny w Egipcie

Praca ma na celu przedstawienie wpływu Arabskiej Wiosny na sektor turystyczny w Egipcie. Została podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy opisuje rozwój sektora turystycznego od końca XIX wieku do początku XXI wieku oraz przyczyny rewolucji. W drugim rozdziale znajduje się szczegółowa charakterystyka gospodarki i sektora turystycznego w ostatnich latach panowania Husniego Mubaraka. Ostatnia część skupia się na przedstawieniu zmian w gospodarce, sektorze turystycznym oraz na arenie politycznej po rewolucji 25 stycznia 2011 roku do 2015 roku. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła stwierdzić, iż Wiosna Arabska negatywnie wpłynęła na sektor turystyczny w kraju. Niestabilna sytuacja polityczna, ciągłe protesty i zamieszki doprowadziły do spadku liczby turystów, co skutkowało znacznym zmniejszeniem udziału turystyki w PKB i zubożeniem osób bezpośrednio i pośrednio pracujących w sektorze turystycznym.

The master thesis describes the impact of The Arab Spring on the tourism situation in Egypt. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes the development of the tourism sector from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century, and the reasons for the revolution. The second chapter contains a description of the economy and the tourism sector in the last years of the Husni Mubarak presidency. The last part focuses on presenting changes in the economy, tourism sector and policy after the revolution of January 25 until 2015. Analysis of results of the research confirms the hypothesis that the Arab Spring had a negative impact on the tourism sector in the country. The unstable political situation and constant protests led to a decrease in the number of tourists, which resulted in decrease of the contribution of tourism to GDP and the impoverishment of the people working in the tourism sector.
