The master's thesis is an attempt to deduce the institution of a Healthcare agent from the Polish legal order de lege lata, as well as a proposal to regulate the issue of expressing the will, interests and position of the patient in the event that he himself cannot do it, from the perspective of de lege ferenda. The thesis focuses on the aspects of national and international law and their analysis in terms of the possibility of deriving an institution of the Healthcare agent from the Polish legal system.
