Double Perspective of the Narrator in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Celem tej pracy licencjackiej jest przedstawienie podwójnej perspektywy narratora w powieści Harper Lee pt. „Zabić drozda”. Praca opisuje narracje i jej wpływ na to, jak czytelnik odbiera książkę. W pierwszym rozdziale zostały przedstawione podobieństwa między życiem autorki a wydarzeniami w powieści. W kolejnych rozdziałach wyjaśnione zostały terminy dotyczące narracji oraz przeanalizowane zostały fragmenty z książki.

The aim of this work is to analyze multi-voiced narration in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This thesis focuses on the narrative technique and its impact on the novel. It presents the correspondence between the author’s life and the book. In further chapters I include the terms related to the theory of narration and I analyze examples from the novel to demonstrate three different narrators and their influence on the readers’ understanding of the book.
