Greko-romańskie aspekty sztuki i kultury królestwa Gandhary oraz ich wpływ na buddyzm

W niniejszej pracy omówiono zagadnienia hellenizmu w sztuce i kulturze królestwa Gandhary oraz jego wpływ na filozofię buddyzmu. Głównym celem analizy problemu sztuki hellenistycznej w Gandharze, oraz synkretyzmu greko-buddyjskiego jest wskazanie najważniejszych motywów hellenistycznych w sztuce Gandhary oraz wyjaśnienie ich roli w kulturze królestwa i wybranych miejscach Azji. W pracy, omawiając historię królestwa, podjęto kwestię pojawienia się sztuki greko-romańskiej w Gandharze. Ponadto analizując najważniejsze wpływy helleńskie na buddyzm, wskazano sposób i przyczynę łączenia greko-romańskich elementów ze sztuką buddyjską. Poruszając problem dziedzictwa Gandhary sprecyzowano wpływ kultury gandharyjskiej na Azję Centralną i Wschodnią. Jako metodę badawczą zastosowano badanie artykułów i książek traktujących o temacie oraz wiedzę własną na temat mitologii greckiej. W pracy wykorzystano technikę analizy wybranych dzieł sztuki oraz prac badawczych, pod względem przedstawionych problemów i celów. Stwierdzono, iż helleńskie motywy widoczne w Gandharze, szczególnie wizerunek Buddy, gandharyjskie monety, architektura oraz bóstwa greckie w sztuce buddyjskiej znacznie wpłynęły na rozwój sztuki buddyjskiej oraz szeroko pojmowanej kultury regionu Azji Centralnej i Wschodniej.

This work discusses the issue of Hellenism in the art and culture of the Gandhara kingdom and its influence on the philosophy of Buddhism. The main purpose of the analysis of the problem of Hellenistic art in Gandhara and Greek-Buddhist syncretism is to indicate the most important Hellenistic motifs in Gandharan art and to explain their role in the culture of the kingdom and selected places of Asia. By discussing the history of the kingdom, raised the issue of the emergence of Greco-Roman art in Gandhara. In addition, when analyzing the most important Hellenic influences on Buddhism, the method and cause of combining Greco-Roman elements with Buddhist art was indicated. While discussing the problem of Gandhara’s heritage, the influence of Gandharan culture on Central and Eastern Asia was highlighted.As a research method, the study of articles and books about the topic and own knowledge about Greek mythology was used. The author used the technique of analysis of selected works of art and research work, in terms of the problems and objectives presented.It was found that Hellenic motifs visible in Gandhara, especially Buddha image, Gandharan coins, architecture and Greek deities in Buddhist art significantly influenced the development of Buddhist art and culture of Central and Eastern Asia.
